I’m a person; A person with an outlook on life that seems unusual to the people around me. I’d like to call this perception “depressive realism”; because unlike a majority of the people I encounter on a daily basis, I seem to be less affected by the self-deception of illusory superiority or optimistic bias. In layman’s terms, my glasses aren’t rose-colored.
Obviously, my perception of reality would be distressing to people who seem to think that the world around us is just dandy, doesn’t need changing, or is incapable of change. As delusional as all of these assumptions are, it’s not easy removing rose-colored glasses from another persons eyes. Backlash is a very common reaction from anyone who is afraid to expand their ideas past their small mind, and into the complexities of our world. As the saying goes, ignorance is bliss.
Which brings me here, because having a quite mouth and a loud mind leads to self-destruction. Self-destruction isn’t the solution; speaking out is. I’m here, and I have some problems with our society. I am a black collar citizen. Enjoy my rants. Consume what you see.
If you are silent about your pain, they’ll kill you and say you enjoyed it.
